I know a lot of people were and still are freaking out about Black Hat using cat guts as Violin strings but, here’s the thing. There’s 3 different types of stings fr a violin : Metal Strings, Gut Strings, & Synthetic Strings. Older violins tend to use gut strings, these are strings made of sheep's intestines that have been stretched, dried and twisted. These strings are commonly called catgut and contrary to popular belief, catgut violin strings aren’t made of an actual cat's guts. I mean you could do theoretically put them though the same process as you would with sheep intestines but, there’s a strong chance that it wouldn’t work. On top of that if it did, it wouldn’t sound right or last as nearly as long.

I think i might be cursed or haunted by some petty spirit or something lol. My violin related equipment keeps breaking. Thankfully the actual violin hasn't ever broken (so far). I will admit that the first time I broke a string was entirely my fault, but after that it had nothing to do with me. Also this is just going to be me complaining about how much my violin seems to hate me so not so much supernatural stuff as much as being bad at handling instruments ig.
