There are two possible options in this situation:
1. The poll doesn’t exist, that guy made it up and hoped nobody would fact-check him
2. The poll exists, but he’s misrepresenting its findings somehow (ex. only examined the Miraculous and Pokémon TV shows, is from an unreliable source , etc.
The reason it’s impossible for the poll to exist the way he represented it isn’t just that pokemon is obviously the more popular/successful media franchise. It’s also because if it existed he would link it and be bragging about it on Twitter before the other exchange even went down
Idk enough about polling or the specific poll to point out how exactly it might be wrong and I know sales don’t represent youths specifically but like. Call me when a ML game sells ten million copies in its first week.
