Tyler usually wasn’t that timely, honestly. He had a bad habit of letting his thoughts get away from him. Since the fucking auction though he’d worked to keep them strictly on task. Overthinking wouldn’t help. It had gotten him in this mess it wouldn’t get him back out again.
So for once he showed up exactly on time. The cans of spraypaint and the portable lanterns were stashed in his trunk. He had an N95 mask and some of his painting clothes on, and more than enough pent up emotions.
He honked once and waited for Dani to come outside. She probably hadn’t expected him to run timely. Not that it mattered because Ty wouldn’t actually leave without her. That’s what snitches and horrible friends did and he liked to think he was neither.

Jesus stuck his head into the wooden mixing bowl, nose hovering just above the banana bread dough, and screamed. The dough and the wood muffled it slightly, but it was still audible enough that Flower perked up her head from where she’d been dozing on the couch and glanced towards the open kitchen curiously. When Jesus withdrew and finally put the bowl back on the counter, he glanced at the only other human being in the house with an expression of long-suffering.
“I’m never baking again. This is the worst,” he groaned, as if he didn’t already have two loaves in the oven and more prepped. “Please tell me your knitting is doing better than my bread.”
The green oven clock read 5pm, but Jesus was still in his pajamas- sweatpants- and he’d barely been awake for a few hours at this point. He was sorely tempted to take a smoke break.

A sort of pack instinct ran through Jack. An infinitesimal remainder of having lived in and cared for a tightknit community in the earliest years of his life, but strong nonetheless. When natural disaster struck even one member on the grounds back then, everyone else used to be gathered and accounted for. Not just to be a number or a marked checkbox on a sheet during roll call, but to establish a sense of safety and security. It had always worked wonders for him and became a valuable lesson in looking out for others over the years.
That’s why despite having just finished helping with the post-earthquake clean up as best as he could, his feet strayed from their path home as soon as he spotted a familiar blonde. "Miss Mason!" A little wave of relief washed over him as he neared the bench she was sat on, seemingly unscathed after the shaking events. "What a luck I'd find you here. Because I'm gonna give it to you straight, today was a pretty scary day for a lot of people and so I.. I wanted to check up on you. Not having suffered much damage, I hope?" Perhaps check in would've sounded nicer. Heaven knows this woman didn't need a guardian to watch over her. But whereas heaven may know, Jack did not. His eyes overflowed with sympathy. "Do you mind if I join you for a moment?” Yet he crouched down and made himself comfortable on a patch of grass near her feet without awaiting an answer. Just rambling on as the support by her side that he, perhaps a little persistently, tried to be. “I know the only person you really need to believe in you is you, but if only for the meantime, you've got me too."
Generally, Victor quite enjoyed owning an antique shop. He got to buy many fine things and he rarely had to part with any of them. Especially not now that tourists and wealthy out-of-towners couldn’t come window shopping. There was more than enough money in his account to cover the mortgage, and even keep Raya on staff. He wanted for little, he needed for nothing.
Well, perhaps not entirely true. He wanted for the locals not to come in and leave smudges all over the fine china he’d just spent all morning polishing. He needed to remember that he was a record 10 year streak of not hitting someone in the face for annoying him.
“Please put that back.” He said, voice mild despite his irritation. “It is very fragile.”

who: @violentgallows when: september 1 where: valentina’s place
Boris didn’t bother to knock. There was no point, when there were enough security cameras lining the walkways that Valentina would be apprised of his appearance long before he reached her front door. They’d met here countless times, the one place she and her brother had been able to carve out that kept their ‘secret’ safe in a way not many places could. Damiano had seen what an asset the twins could be, and was willing to spare no expense to keep them that way.
“You look terrible.” His blanket statement towards both of the twins was accompanied by the appearance of a box of pastries he set down within reach of the male Gallo. He received a quick smile in a rather bruised face, and a wave, from Santino, who easily reached into the bag and snagged a pastry before returning to whatever art project he was working on this time. Satisfied that the younger man didn’t seem too worse for wear, he turned his attention to the real reason he was there and raised a brow. “Haven’t heard from you in a few days. It’s enough to get someone to be worried.”
“Okay, you gotta tell me where I can find a cake to jump out of for the next major function.” He told Danielle, laughter in his eyes.
All the Fairy Tale girls had a special place in Ty’s heart but the ones that got into trouble with him (mainly Dani and Ariela) made their way to right proper friends. He hadn’t really expected to see either of them here, he’d only come for the lark of the forgery, so it see both of them really did make the event so much better. Maybe they’d find trouble to start here as well.
“You want my jacket? Though it’ll bit of a downgrade, outfit-wise. That really is quite the look.”
