These Fakemon are feared by the locals.
The Vinter Region used to have a huge Charge Stone cave system that Joltik and Galvantula lived in, but thousands of year's ago the ancient people of the land mined out the electrical crystals leaving nothing for the spider Pokemon. In their haste to advance their civilization, they created a bigger threat when the Joltik and Galvantula changed into something else, something that fed of life force instead of electricity. Some locals consider the 'transformation' of the species as punishment for mans greed and destruction to the ecosystem, it's why the locals are very hesitant to changing their world too much as several Pokemon change for the worse when their world became harder for them to live in.
Snowtiks
Snowtiks are mostly nocturnal, rarely seen in the day light mainly because they sleep in ice caves guarded by their Avalanchula kin, but near sunset the swarm gather and seek out a good snow mound to hide in, so when prey mistaking go by they get jump by about 10 of them.
The victim's life force will start to be quickly drained by the Snowtik's if not removed in time, making said victim tire, weak and cold. They will not completely drain a target and will leave enough life force so that you are barely alive, what happens after depends on your luck. Your either then dragged off by an Avalanchula who had been hiding nearby and taken back to their cave to be consumed later, another pack of wild Pokemon shows up to finish the job, or you are saved by either the Vinter Absol or any friends who were nearby, just pray you had friend nearby to help you to recover.
Snowtik 'checks' are common when entering a settlement in the Vinter Region as lone Snowtik's that have gotten separated from the horde will just cling to the next life form that comes along and are often mistaken for just being snow clumps, while not dangerous on their own, they are still considered a pest so what happens to the discovered Snowtik depends on how the settlement feel about the species.
Though one unknown Scientist has been asking for any settlements to hand over any rouge Snowtik they find to them, for 'research' and are offering a reward in payment or goods for doing so. It is unknown what they want to do with the Snowtik's or what this 'research' involves but many settlement's have been happy to oblige. Much to the concern of the Research Team at Vinter Outpost 2.
Also Snowtik eyes are very reflective the easiest way to spot them in the snow is to flash a torch around and see the light reflected back, though once you do this you better run, as Snowtik's are know to be triggered into attack after you do this.
Avalanchula
Avalanchula are a mostly solitary hunters, while they guard the cave entrance of the Snowtik's home during the day, they do it in shifts, while some guard the entrance other's go off to hunt on their own, using the icy cliffs as there advantage point to strike target's from above. The newly evolved Avalanchula tend to follow the Snowtik horde for a little while after and take the prey after the horde has weaken them.
