Jag var fast bestämd på att jag skulle hitta denna, och det gjorde jag! efter drygt 40 minuter av bråkande med google (herregud vad alla search engines är totalt värdelösa nu) hittade jag den tillslut!!!<3

Fellow simmers,

It’s a feature, that came with Bon Voyage. If you place a beach lot, your sims will be able to swim in the sea. You can also edit “normal” lots with simlogical’s beach portals. It’s a little fiddly, but might be worth it, when you want your sims to swim in the sea, but don’t want the beach (where you can’t build stuff (unless you use cheats), sims search for seashells, sunbath, build sandcastles etc.)

On that note I also want to point out this tutorial by iCad and this one by Vimpse. You will need Lotadjuster. Beach-lots are on the bigger side, but most simmers prefer small and/or flat lots. Both tutorials work (have tried it myself. Not in Twinhills, but in a tester-hood) and you’ll get similar results. I think there are also smaller beach lots available for download, but I prefer to build everything from scratch.

I spent so much time building a church and a reception hall, and re-decorating an outdoor community lot to accommodate weddings, but do I use them? Nooooooo, of course not. :D

Haha, yes! Now that’s impressive. ;) I haven’t had many burglaries in the neighborhood - at least not many that I’ve remembered to document - but if I recall correctly, she gets the burglar every time. :)

I had my first in game puppies not long ago and yes they are adorable!

Ahhhhh it’s so much work but they’re so cuuuuute! I definitely don’t have room in the house for five dogs lmao but I don’t think I can part with them ;__; <3

Hahaha, no, I swear! :D I was looking for a large painting to use and I remembered that I have all of the amazing Star Wars recolors @biffysims did on the Artig mesh - and who am I to say no to the General? ;)

Oh, I used a fair bit of cc in there. Actually, I think almost everything is cc. :D I have about 10 GB of cc, so I’d better use it! :P

Thank you my dear! I wasn’t exactly sure where I was going with that room, in terms of a cohesive style, but I pretty much thought the same thing: “Hey, this looks good with the wall, I’m going to keep it.” ;)

AHHHHH I SAW THEM WITH RISE AGAINST TOO! It was my senior year as well LMAO so we must have seen them on the same tour! :D And honestly I wouldn’t do 99.9% of the cool things I do if not for my boyfriend, he’s the concert junkie and he’s always able to get us tickets for things!

lmao oh nooooo! At least you don’t have that problem anymore (right???). In my apartment, I think I’m the noisy one hahaha. Not that I make an exceptional amount of noise, but our walls are really thin and my landlord goes to bed super early - so sometimes if I get carried away listening to music or watching TV with the volume up a bit too high, I hear the broom banging on the ceiling LMAO

Yes! Kraftwerk is amazing! I saw them in D.C. during their Kraftwerk 3D tour last year and it was so much fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect (also I don’t really care for most things in 3D) but it was a super cool audio/visual experience. :) I hope they do another show soon (and preferably a little closer to home - I love traveling to new cities, but I can’t always go a couple hundred miles out of the way for a show :)).

Oh my lawd you're seeing radiohead again!! I so hope me and mr biffy will be able to see them when they do dates over here D: and I can't believe you've never seen morrissey with his flower pocket before. One of our friends commandeered some of of wedding flowers at our evening reception and danced like Moz all night <3

Yessss, it’s all thanks to my boyfriend! We both tried for tickets when they went on sale last week and I got completely shut out. D: He has amazing luck with tickets, I really don’t know how he does it. I hope you’re able to see them over there! They just keep getting better and better. When we saw them last summer, they played “Let Down” for the first time in ten years and I CRIED. :3

And omg I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on the Moz flower pocket! Your reception must have been a blast :D <3

love this makeover, wow! i really like your changes to the layout and all the family tidbits you've included

Thank you! I kept changing my mind on the layout because I wasn't really sure exactly how I wanted it (I think it took me like three or four days to settle on the layout for the ground floor). As for the family tidbits, it's one of the things I really enjoy adding to my lot makeovers, since it helps solidify some of my headcanon for the Sims. Also, a part of me likes to think that if I start off by putting those blurbs in, I'll stick to telling the story I have for them once I start actually playing rather than decorating.

silly enough, the game doesn't care what job the townie has when they offer your sim a non-entry level job, it just picks a random one, I've had a firefighter offer my sim a job in adventuring before.                

It’s especially silly since all they had to do is change it from ‘I work in’ to ‘I have connections in’ if they wanted it to pick from a random pool! Oh well, it’s EAxis, whatcha gonna do? :D

I've had some really good sim parents too. You lucked out.

Johnny’s sister is pretty awful until her kids hit child stage, so I guess I was expecting that from these guys too. Johnny does seem to surprise me a lot, tho!

My sim parents also ignore their children 99% of the time. Thank the watcher for butlers!

Ooh, I’ve read that the butlers are supposed to be better than nannies at childcare (of course, literally everything is better than most TS2 nannies, inanimate objects included). I’ve never used butlers, actually! My sims’ houses are so small and I micromanage so much that it feels weird to hire one.

It's not a glitch some Sims are just good parents. @Simper-fi MATY has a "nobabyharrassment" mod that may help.

It’s been so long since I had good sim parents that I’ve forgotten what they’re like. ;_; I don’t have to direct them to do absolutely everything! They do it autonomously! What magic is this.

Hmmmm, mine are pretty good about putting them to bed when they're tired... but then they also do the thing where they keep forcibly removing them to feed them. :P

You're having more luck than me, then -- it drives me up the goshdarn wall that all the sims in my households torment the toddlers by picking them OUT OF THE CRIB when they're really tired, they literally line up to do it... *frantically cancels action*

Oddly enough, I don’t usually have problems with sims waking the baby up to feed them--mine have more a tendency to just ignore them completely. :p Like, ‘oh, the baby is crying? Nah, screw that, I’m gonna go stand blankly in the other room instead’. *coughClaracough*
