Are you ever in the middle of writing a character, and you can tell you are writing them with too much love? Like, this character is a little bastard, the jerkiest person to walk the Earth, but you just love them to bits, and it come across on the page. Like, the narrator is supposed to hate their guts, be terrified of them, but you find yourself writing, “classic (character’s name” or “I’m sure they have their reasons”, even when they’re just being an ass. Please tell me this happens to other people too???

“The movie villain vs The actual villain” and it’s just the pretty blonde girl who was literally classists and mean vs the character who was literally bullied and simply didn’t like the mean girl for being a bully. Yes this mainly Regina and Janis and sure some people talk about how while they know Regina was a bigger bully that Janis “used” Katy; but I’ve seen this with some other characters were the rich bully is ignored for the character that is usually less pretty and popular. Lile bullies of childhood movies and shows would literally be mean about the character being poorer. I’m not sure if Regina did but plenty of other blonde bullied did.
And I just looked up The movie villain vs The actual villain to remind myself of what I’m talking about and just got angrier at what people are making with this phrase, some people are literally putting the villain in the “actual villain” spot or are just dumb. The mayor from zootopia was never the movie villain because the twist villian IS the movie villain, there is not an “actual villain” in Inside 2 so don’t put anxiety and the coach. I hate this phrase/meme/trend so much. Sure some of these after I looked them up are funny like the aquaman one with plastic but the plastic one isn’t an obvious show of misinterpretation, but don’t act as if a lady tremaine wasn’t an actual villain when she abused Ella people. Of all the rabbit holes.
Sorry for the long rant. Don’t hesitate to give me your thoughts on this trope because I just find some of these dumb.

I love analyzing media that I like. Discussing different characters or plot lines, their narrative, etc. However, I feel like people do this nowadays to justify liking a character. It's okay to hate what a character did or became/changed into and still love that character. Like you don't have to justify why you like that character just because they did bad shit. It doesn't make you a bad person for liking a fucked up fictional character. You don't have to claim all the bad shit they did wasn't really that bad to make it okay to like them.
villain character has pointy, sharp, and bold lines included in how they’re drawn their rebellious child also has these sharp lines but the clothes they wear are softer and have rounder edges like the heros
