On This Day (8/13): Tobacco, Roger Sellers, Technicolor Hearts, Videoing

Truthfully, I went to this show just to hang out with someone, and I didn’t much care for any of this music. Electronic stuff is not generally my thing, but I tried to enjoy myself as much as possible.
Roger Sellers is now known as Bayonne and has made a name for himself in Austin. I actually enjoy some of his stuff now, but at the time he was kind of just getting out there and I don’t remember much of his set.
Tobacco is the front man of Black Moth Super Rainbow, so obviously a pretty well known producer of electronic music and psych rock. I definitely thought his set was cool for what it was, but I remember getting bored about halfway through, as I tend to do with this type of thing. Around this time, he put out a video directed by Eric Wareheim and it’s amazing. Check it out below.
