I'll give you a general summary of what I have so far, and then a sneak peek

Summary:

So Hand is working at the tutoring centre that Skye is going to, and one day her foster family don’t come to pick her up. Victoria ends up taking her for pizza and they end up back at the apartment that she and Izzy share with their adopted daughter Natasha!

“You know,” Iz says as she sprawls herself out on the living room floor, “I thought your kid was gonna be a little more interesting.”

It’s the first thing that’s pierced Hunter’s sleepless haze in the week since his daughter’s been born, and he lets out a laugh loud enough to startle even himself. Vic, sitting at Izzy’s side, elbows her girlfriend in the ribs. At least someone knows it’s inappropriate to tell your friends their baby is boring.

“She’s just little.” Hunter can tell Bobbi’s trying not to get too defensive and he reaches for her hand, curling his fingers contentedly through hers. Bobbi’s spent nine months of time and energy making the baby so she has a right to be touchy.

“When she’s bigger, I call dibs on taking her places,” Izzy says. She looks to Bobbi for permission before lifting the baby off the blanket and into her lap. The baby, for her part, just yawns and blinks at Izzy blearily. “I’m going to be the best godmother ever.”

“I’m going to be the best godmother ever,” Vic corrects. “You get second place.”

Izzy rolls her eyes dramatically before pressing a kiss to the baby’s forehead. “You like me better, don’t you baby bird?”

“She doesn’t,” Vic insists.

The baby sneezes, and Izzy coos down at her softly, offering her finger for the baby to grab with one tiny hand.

Did someone say Hot Shield Summer? @agentsofchallenges did, and I knew this fit the bill. Even if I think I misunderstood the square of "drive-in" on my Marvel Femslash Bingo card. Hahaha.

Skating Through Summer

Summary: Victoria Hand is home for the summer and takes a job as a skating car hop. Skating her way through the summer seems easy enough, but her feelings for her coworker Izzy may complicate things.

Excerpt:

“So, yeah, that’s why you should hire me.”

The man interviewing her smiled. “That’s hard for me to argue with.”

Victoria nodded. “That’s what I was hoping you’d say.”

“Well, I hope you’re ready to spend your summer on rollerskates, because you are hired!”

“Great.”

They took care of all the paperwork and got her a uniform. The manager told her to come early the next morning and ask for Izzy. Victoria rushed home and started looking for skates to use for the next few months. Working at a fifties style diner had not been her idea of an awesome place to work, but it was the only place currently hiring. So rollerskating it was.

Victoria showed up right on time. “I’m looking for Izzy,” she said to the first person she saw.

The girl smiled. “That would be me.”

“Oh.” Victoria held out a hand. “Nice to meet you. I’m Victoria Hand.”

“Isabelle Hartley. I’ll be the one seeing to your training. First things first, we gotta get that cute body of yours into a uniform. Follow me.”

Victoria didn’t know what to think of, well, any of this. Was this girl coming on to her? Not that she would mind, but still, how could Izzy know that?

Hi Q! I recently got a new phone and it holds battery so much better than my old one so I only have to plug it in at nighttime! Seeing as I’ve been using it all day, my phone is at 27% battery, which means 81 words! I wrote them on arizona, my Vicizzy WIP. Here’s a few of them for your viewing pleasure:

“That a hint?” Vic asked.

“Hand, we’ve been dating long enough for you to know when I’m hinting at something.”

“So yeah, it was a hint.”
