Kara laika atmiņās daudzu ciematu nosaukumi un kara biedru uzvārdi varbūt bija pavisam citādāki. Man bija pierakstītas visu kara biedru adreses, bet visus pierakstus mums atņēma Šahtu ciema lāģerī 1945. gada rudenī. Kara laiku apraksts sanāca visgarākais, jo tajā laikā piedzīvoto un pārdzīvoto notikumu atmiņu bija visvairāk.
Labprāt izlasītu savu vecāku un vecvecāku dzīves aprakstus, bet tādu nav, tāpēc par viņu dzīvi nekas daudz nav zināms. Centīšos šo robu mazliet aizpildīt un ceru, ka to darīs arī mani pēcnācēji.
Kara laika apraksts radās galvenokārt, lai pieminētu kritušos kara biedrus.
