For a moment, his image… flickers, strobing from red to black. His sprite seemed to be altered somehow beneath the colors, split open by dark pixels, but the glitches retract before you can take a closer look.
He falls back into what seemed to be a familiar routine for him. Breathe in, breathe out. Holding in the tears. Pulling himself back together.
