I think baylan dying for shin is starting to make the most sense to me after last episode. I think that the both of them on their way back to the Chimaera will run into… some sort of trouble. I wonder if they won’t see each other again for a Conversation and Shin, somehow, ends up in trouble and Baylan finds her on his way back
Shin’s question of “you won’t help?” maybe won’t be in the forefront of his mind when he sees her, but the viewers will remember it. The parallel of ahsoka saying “I can help you” to Shin will be in our heads, too
But Baylan will go and help her because of course he will. It’s Shin. For one, I don’t believe he just abandoned her. Second, he’s not the kind of guy to stand by when his padawan is in trouble. Even with their “parting”, this is the same Baylan that “killed” Ahsoka because she threw Shin against a rock
I think he’ll save her life. In the end, he’ll help her.
I like to think their relationship started from Baylan, in some way, helping Shin. Helping her out of a situation, maybe, but helping her nonetheless. And so he’ll do the exact same thing to save her life
