Last one for now, I promise! This boy was part of the og fantrolls that I created! One of my first fantrolls!

I always love seeing og fantrolls!

Universe: Alternia!

Name: Verick Trakaz (the name has no meaning, or at least the last name. The first name means knowledge I think, he’s an old oc, he’s one of the og four)

I can’t actually find a meaning for Verick! It is, however, close to the name Varick, which means leader- and can be related to the term Maverick, which means wanderer, or unorthodox person. Since he’s such a long-standing oc, I don’t want to change this first name, so I’m going to keep Verick around and just add a little more leadership/unorthodoxy to his themes as we go. 

The surname I will suggest a change for, though. How about Cerele, from the root word for Kestrel, a kind of falcon that hovers as it hunts.

Age: 6 sweeps/12 sweeps at the end

Blood: cerulean

Sign: Scorcen

Lusus: Falcondad. I made him before we knew more about ceruleans, and thus he has a bird lusus. I thought it was perfect for him so I dunno if I should change it.

We don’t know if all ceruleans have insect parents, and we just know that winged lusii generally come in at teal+ blood levels, so I think it’s fair to say a cerulean could have a falcon dad! 

Kestrels have the ability to see UV light, so I might give him a little bit of a cerulean-typical eye mutation that makes him a better hunter. 

Ancestor: The Champion Skypilot

I’m really interested in knowing about his ancestor because of this title. Was he a really accomplished imperial pilot in the Condesce’s conquering mission? Or was he a rebel pilot of some sort? I do like the idea of him being a legendary planetary scout, to fit the falcon theme. …..Or you could go with a starwars reference and have him be a smuggler (Millennium Falcon, cough cough). 

Strife Specibus: macekind

Might I recommend gunkind and having him be a sniper instead? For hunting relevance? Ooo, or maybe gliderkind if you like the idea of him being more up-close and personal, equipping some gliding equipment so he can swoop down and nab his victims and then fly off with them?

Fetch Modus: not sure oooof

I’m assuming this guy is a pilot because of his ancestor and general flight theme? So you could do a flight-simulator modus where he has to complete a certain number of objectives to obtain the item? 

Lunar Sway: Derse

Title: Page of Blood (he’s part of a whole Fansession so it might be hard to change it all up lol but I wanna hear your opinion)

I actually like this a lot for the role he has! He’s someone surrounded by bonds, but he’s utilizing them improperly. He forms these friendships and then instead of being a rallying leader, he lops them off… He has to learn to actually maintain relationships and to use them effectively and altruistically instead of just manipulating them to his own ends. 

Land: Land of Knots and Abyss

Hmmm. I think this sounds neat conceptually, but you didn’t expand on it, so I don’t quite know where you were planning on going with it. That said, maybe you could do the Land of Fleets and Passes. He could have to lead a band of pilot consorts through narrow rock passes.

Interests: You didn’t list any yourself, so I thought I’d make a few recommendations. Piloting ships is an obvious option, and you could even do aerobatics maybe. He could aspire to the same heights as his ancestor- or, if you went the smuggler route, he could want to Not end up like his ancestor and aspire to be a proper imperial pilot? Other interests could be hang gliding, swoop hunting, … Solo badminton? Because the shuttlecock is called a Birdie, and that’s a fun pun. Model planes? Anything that lets him be alone to really push the relationship distance concept!

Personality: Verick is… interesting. He’s a nervous wreck because every friendship he makes is fake. He just feeds them all to his lusus instead. He mainly stays in the background, too afraid to actually make any friends. Two other trolls from the Fansession try to boost his confidence. It doesn’t work but he ends up meeting his matesprite that way.

Okay so I need to tie in the unorthodox leadership thing I mentioned earlier, so maybe part of how he manages to draw in so many people is that he’s a big ‘think outside the box’ kind of guy. When he’s putting up a facade to get people to like him, at least, he could be really good at like, going off the beaten path. Solving problems in unique ways that make people really interested in him. It’s probably just a function of him Being an anxious and solitary dude, he wants to solve things alone and he is nervous, so he comes up with weird solutions that end up making people think he’s Radder than he is. Which… helps with the whole ‘catching people to feed to his lusus’ thing, at least.

Design: 

Head: I gave him a lil arrow on one of his horns just to add some visual interest. I also replaced his glasses with a pair of aviators because Haha Get It, aviator- I also adjusted his mouth’s position to look a bit more proportionate and gave him some teefs. 

Outfit: Not a ton changed here. I changed his jacket into a pilot’s jacket with a white fuzzy collar just to distinguish him some more and then did some color shifts. I also adjusted the position of the symbol a little.
