1, 7, (that can be avoided if it's a spoiler) 10, 21 & 34 from "YetMoreAsks: Hurt/Comfort Edition!" for Verginia Emerentius from Fall and Rise of cor Mantgamia. ^^
Thank you so much for asking!!! :)
1. Who was the last person to hurt your character?
As the empress mother of the Angusian Empire Verginia has had to grow a think skin after a lifetime of political mind games, so it’s not that easy to hurt her, not even physically, she is very protected. Her body though makes her go through a lot of pain because she has multiple chronic illnesses. The last person to really hurt her must have been her death husband, the emperor, who died 13 years ago. He was narcissistic and always needed to feel superior. For Verginia, who also has very high opinion of herself and is very proud and entitled, it was agonizing to please him and stay in his good side.
7. What is the worst betrayal they’ve had to endure?
For her it was his father’s betrayal. His father was the emperor and since he didn’t have any living son, he bypassed Verginia as his successor and left his crown to her cousin, Maximus, who later became his husband. Her health was never good and it was still possibility that she would have the hereditary untreatable illness that plagues their family line. But she knew she was the best candidate. She always knew she was smarter, wiser, more compassionate and better than her cousin. She has never fully forgiven her father for that.
10. Have they lost a family member?
She has lost both of her parents, her siblings, her husband and one of her daughters. She know stranger to loss. Her father died fairly young for natural causes, age 55, but her mother did live to be old. Her sister died young for the queen’s curse, the illness that is common in their line, and so did her daughter. She also had a brother, who died as a small baby. Her husband was poisoned and the cor Mantgamia’s were convicted for it, though they denied it to the bitter end.
21. Do they lash out when hurt?
She is very composed and good at hiding her emotions. Usually she presents at least in public to be a soft, warm and distinguished little old lady. She learned early to hide her pain, both physical and mental, since people at the court would see it as a weakness and use it against her. But behind the soft smiles she is vengeful and unforgiving, and though she never lashes out hotheadedly, she will save the anger and get her revenge quietly without a fuss.
34. How do they show affection?
She is warm and gentle to the people she cares about. She shows her affection with gentle touches in hair and cheek and by using her influence to give them everything she thinks they need. She is a controlling and a perfectionist, and her perfectionism also extends to her loved ones. It’s also a form of her love to push her loved ones to be their best possible selves (in her opinion).
Ask hurt/comfort questions about my OCs!
Someone was just telling me about a cursed doll she saw on campus and then had a coughing fit. This was right after she told me she thought the doll was possessed. Odd…
Last night there was a fire behind one of the dormitories and this morning a guy woke up outside without memory. Is this a normal college thing or is there something bigger I should be concerned about? This is not the first strange occurrence on this campus.
