I want to think that the Venom Fandom is not that small. But the fact that MY silly posts about my opinion and analysis of certain things suddenly have likes and that person who liked them probably entered my account to see what other similar posts there are makes me realize that most of us are desperately scraping content from anywhere.
In theory, the Venom Fandom is big, because is an iconic character. But at the same time this fandom is separated between us (whether we make drawings, memes, we have silly ideas or sometimes we upload content about character analysis) and the rest of the world. Which is the kind of people who like Venom because "he's a big monster and fights cool" you know? The same people who say that Eddie and Symby are not a couple. The ones who think Venom was better off as a villain.
It's kind of funny, because I actually would never have started actively uploading content in Tumbler if I hadn't realized that the Venom fandom is much more active here than on other social networks. Because yes Venom is everywhere, but I'm not looking for a basic drawing of hyper realistic Venom or a photo of someone bragging that they bought one of the latest Venom comics or I'm not even that interested in the Venom movie that for some reason has more fandom than the Venom of the comics. I want to see a meme referencing Comic!Eddie being a nudist! Quality content!
The reason this nonsense surprised me is because my account is generally small and I'm not uploading much Venom content at the moment. I still love them, but I'm obsessed with tf2 right in this moment xd
But the fact that people come to my account and like several, if not all of my Venom posts, it's funny and for me a roundabout way of saying "please I'm trying to feed on whatever right now"
