The earthy tastes of spinach and artichokes are brought together with the sweetness of caramelized onions in this delicious Spinach, Artichoke, and Caramelized Onion Tart. This tart, which is covered in flaky puff pastry, is great as an appetizer or light meal.
Ingredients: 1 sheet of store-bought puff pastry. 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped. 1/2 cup artichoke hearts, chopped. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 2 cloves garlic, minced. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C. Set a pan on medium heat and add the olive oil. Adding sliced onions and cooking until caramelized while stirring every now and then will take about 15 to 20 minutes. Place the puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Roll it out. Use a fork to make holes in the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Place the caramelized onions on top of the pastry in a thin layer. Put chopped artichoke hearts, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and chopped spinach on top. Add pepper and salt to taste. Put it in an oven that has already been heated up and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down for a few minutes before cutting it. Enjoy while still warm!
