has to admit surfing on a lake is as impressive as the ocean, maybe even a little more considering it’s a lake and yet–- the waves didn’t come to play. cindy couldn’t picked a better day, since the waves were extra choppy and made the entire experience that much more exhilarating. admits it was even a little intimidating getting knocked over and losing his balance a few times, getting shoved under a few of those huge waves. he’s beat now, resting in the sand, sitting with his arm behind his back and the heel of his hand digging into the beach towel he sits on. damp curls still dripping beads of water down his back. the day’s mellowing out into a bright orange sunset and he’s noticing while gazing over at cindy’s side profile that the sun sinks down and melts into her eyes like pools of the prettiest honey. “yeah,” smirk pulls at his lips, there’s no use in denying what he blurted out, “really. i didn’t stutter.”
