Living on the road was something JD had grown used to years ago. Back when he was a kid it just helped unsettling him all the more, but by now it was pretty much the direction his life had continued. A lonesome, violent life with no goal. So basically the same as before, but now with dead parents instead.
It was getting pretty damn late by the time he decided to stop by a small diner on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Staying in town was never a good idea after grabbing attention from the police, but so far he should be good.
He quickly scanned the diner seeing only a couple on the far end, an older man in one of the booths and a young woman by herself. One glance at her and recognition sparked as he passed her. Taking a step or two back to look at her again, “Sorry...” he shook his head before passing behind her again, “You just looked familiar,” he admitted, sitting down a few seats down from her.
