Is vauseman too toxic?
Ok, so there are so many vauseman haters out there, and I get it. I get why y’all are not on board. These two cause so many problems for each other, they send each other to prison, they cheat and they don’t think ahead. I get why this ship is hard to get behind, but I still think it’s worth it.
Here’s my theory:
The people who tell Piper to let Alex go, are people who have only ever seen her without Alex. Think about it, her Family, Larry, even Polly only saw them at the start. They saw the after math of post Alex Piper, and she probably wasn’t in a good place. It makes sense that they’d all hate Alex. It makes sense that they all think that she ruined her life.
But.
These are the people who were with them. Nicky, Lorna, Red, Boo, Jones etc. These are the people who saw them together, and felt the love. And they’re people who care about them! They genuinely believe in them. When Piper asked Alex to be her girlfriend, people in that room couldn’t help but be grudgingly happy for them. When piper proposed, everyone was crying. When Alex asked for help with a wedding, everyone was there for it. I think that’s proof that although they are so so so in the wrong sometimes, they’re better together than apart, which is why I still ship them, even when they seem like they don’t deserve it.
