I've never tried to write Vapaad as a combat form before but it's actually kind of fun. Like this is literally a whole saber form relying on unpredictability so the possibilities are endless
That being said this is training mode so possibilities have to be limited for the general health and well being of poor padawan Depa.
He appears again as a blur, and she sees the purple glow of his saber arcing toward her before she even hears it ignite.
Instinct burned into her muscles from training is the only thing that makes her move. While her thoughts are trying to process what is going on she's dropped low, skirted backwards but also with the direction of the blow so that he would have to over extend to track her movement.
Her treacherous brain finally catches up, and she calls her saber from her belt and ignites it, pulling up into a universal block because her master has all but disappeared from her field of vision again, feeling more like an afterimage with how her eyes can't track his speed.
The glowing arc appears again, swinging in at a slightly different angle than she was positioned for but it takes a fraction a second to adjust-
But he doesn't strike, his saber bounces back before ever hitting her blade like it's hit an invisible wall, and instead flips to a jab that has her lurching back, but she's braced for a blow so instead of sliding her muscles lock and she just falls onto her back, saber tumbling out of her grip and the blade disappearing.
