"Living in a van with a partner isn’t always as glamorous as our photos convey. When conversations sometimes turn into heated discussions, Nate and I don’t always have the solace of escaping to separate spaces when we need to think things over. Especially when it’s 20 degrees outside, neither one of us really wants to go and take a walk, so we’re stuck having to work things out in the moment. Proper communication has been something that we’ve almost been forced to practice while dwelling in our small space together, but we’ve been getting way better at learning how to interact in more practical and effective ways when moments get a bit tense.
