It's okay if anti-shifters shake you.
I was just on tiktok, and had to get off because of the video I came across. It wasn't even a shifttok video, because the number of shifttok videos I get on my fyp anymore is just shy of 0. It was someone I've been following for a long time talking about how insane 2020 was and how crazy people went during 2020 lockdown. They inevitably brought up shifting and that it was crazy for people to think it was a real thing.
My reaction wasn't just because this is someone I've followed forever who I didn't think had an opinion on or even knew about shifting. This happens to me every time I come across anti-shifters. My heart speeds up, my stomach drops. I get physically scared that maybe they're right. Maybe I'm just losing it because I don't know how to cope with the fucked up world that I live in.
My reaction scares me just as much as the anti-shifters I come across. How can my faith in something I've spent 5 years so devoted to be so easily shaken by just one person who doesn't understand?? But it's okay. It's normal. It's human. There is no physical evidence of shifting, and there won't ever be because it's all about pure consciousness, and outside of shifting, I've always struggled with grasping concepts without physical evidence. That doesn't mean I can't do it.
There's nothing wrong with anti-shifters bothering you. There's nothing wrong with anti-shifters scaring you. They have their convictions, but that doesn't mean mine are going anywhere. Just like having doubts, it's okay to be rattled. It's not going to stop you. It can't stop you.
I feel like no one talks about this -- and maybe that's because this doesn't happen to anyone else -- but I needed to get it off my chest, and if I'm not the only one, then I want you to know you're not alone and it's okay to feel like crap about it all sometimes because someone said something demotivating. "Oh well just don't listen to them" sometimes you can't help it. And that's okay.
I believe in you. This is not all there is. There's so much more waiting for you, and we're all going to find it. Pinkie swear. 💛💛💛
Someone just said that some LOA shifters are pissing them off and I think we need to talk about it, because it's really important.
Personally, I fully believe in LOA. It all makes sound sense to me; your subconscious can't see, so it assumes whatever you tell it into reality, and if you consistently do not believe that you are in your DR then that's all your subconscious is learning from the experience.
That being said, I am wrong.
I bet you weren't expecting that. But that's really all there is to it. I can give advice till the day I die and tell people what works for me and what I believe and if I really, really wanted, I could even tell them step by step how to shift. But at the end of the day, I am WRONG.
There will always be someone out there who my methods don't work for. There will always be people who can shift purely with LOA, and people who shift very capably while also believing that LOA is a crock of shit.
LOA shifters? Listen up. You are WRONG. To someone out there, you are WRONG, and your methods and assumptions WILL NOT WORK. Period. Better to accept it now than continue on looking like an idiot. You cannot sit there and say that everyone's shifting journey is individual and diverse and then, in the same breath, claim that your method is foolproof and that people will not shift if they don't believe in it. You cannot SHAME people into believing that you are right and their methods are wrong. We all know that the multiverse is infinite, and that means that somewhere, for someone else's intents and purposes, we will always be wrong, no matter how confidently we do it.
I want to make it clear that I'm not trying to attack anyone. But I've also seen too many of those posts of people saying 'this is why you're not shifting, and if you do this and still don't shift, you're doing it wrong.' I just think that it's very harmful and demotivating, and that's not what any of us came here for.
For those of you who already know this stuff and are accepting of it; thank you, you are an absolute gift.
Please just be respectful and be aware. We're all here to help each other, not to be 'the person who is always right'.
Now go shift to your own crazy-ass unique DR in your own crazy-ass unique way, and be proud as fuck if you happened to be able to help out somebody else along the way. I love you guys. Happy shifting.
XO
Note: as the person whose post inspired this one said, look how many people shifted constantly with limiting beliefs and misinformation up the wazoo during 2020 shifttok. Let's not pretend that that didn't or can't happen, because that is also misinformation AND a limiting belief. <3

vane's shifting routine
NOTE: please remember that you do not NEED a routine to shift. You could close your eyes and shift in half a second if you wanted. but I'm feeling demotivated, and having a routine always brings back that missing spark. this is purely self-indulgent, and meant for anyone else who thinks a nostalgic routine might help them.

STEP-BY-STEP ROUTINE
calming music that reminds me of my dr
I'm a night shifting person. I've never been able to get myself into the mindset during the day when I have things to do. so while I can appreciate louder, sometimes more aggressive music for my DR during the day, it's just more relaxing to have a calmer playlist at night.
2. shower and visualise
showers might not be everyone's style, and I know lots of people prefer them in the mornings, but they're so relaxing for me, and with the right candle combination, I just can't not think about my DR while I'm there. I use this time to unwind, forget about my current reality and visualise my desired reality.
3. pjs that remind my of my dr
this one's pretty straightforward. I love band t-shirts for my marauders DR, pretty underwear for places like TVD and SPN, I even have a couple of nightgowns that get me in the feels for my more medieval/fantasy-style DRs. it just keeps the mood going, really.
4. tea & manifesting
okay, I know the tea is a cliche, but hear me out. that's why I do it. it brings me back to the good parts of when I first learned about shifting. it helps me unwind, makes me feel nostalgic and reminds me why I started shifting in the first place. it's not necessary, but I personally find it very comforting. manifesting could be a lot of things for me; I like to keep my options open depending on my mood and my energy levels. watching the movie/show I'm shifting to, reading the book, listening to more music while writing a letter for someone in my DR, shifting journal, doodling like I'm in my DR, adding to/editing my script, writing blurbs about my DR. these are all some of my favourite forms of shifting manifestiation.
5. quantum jumping spell
again, this one won't be for everyone. I dabble in witchcraft and am a massive believer in spirituality (I can totally make a post about my belief system at some point if y'all want) so spells for shifting give me a lot of confidence if nothing else. I like making spell jars, reciting verbal spells or even just sitting quietly to feel the energy and mentally convert it into energy for shifting.
6. subliminal + method
subliminals are iffy for me. if I find one that really reminds me of my DR, it'll probably quickly become a favourite, but aside from that, they just make me fall asleep rather than letting myself drift off into void state or trying to visualise (again, I know none of these things are necessary, these are just my own preferences). not a big fan of guided meditations either for the same reason (with the exception of that one julia method guided meditation) methods are also an on-and-off practise, and I know some people are very against using them. I usually just go with whatever I'm feeling like that night, and sometimes that means no subliminals or methods; just intention.
MY FAVOURITE METHODS
daydreaming replacement method;
not really a method at all. just daydreaming about my DR with intention until I drift off to sleep or shift before I fall asleep.
void state method;
a little difficult for me as it reminds me of how I feel in the middle of a fever dream, but once I got over that, very calming yet somehow exciting and very effective. probably the easiest way for me to achieve total detachment so I'm not checking the 3D every five seconds.
julia method;
one of my first favourites. not much success and falling asleep before I've completed the method demotivates me a little sometimes, but it really makes me feel out my DR and defines it around the edges.
bianca method;
10/10. 5 star rating. when I say I've never had success in blocking out my doubts and fears before learning this method, I mean that (fuckin' ADHD). I use it almost every time in combination with whatever method I'm using or even when I'm using no other method at all.
method to nowhere method;
beautiful. so, so easy. so good at tricking your subconscious. and PERFECT for the nights when I just don't have the energy. it's actually ingenious.
Found this while scrolling bored on YouTube Posts of all places, thinking about shifting tonight. Taking it as a sign, because i wasnt waiting for one, it just happened to me -- like all things that are meant to be do. Night loves 😘

For people who struggle with doubts: think about shifting like a pain medication.
It's late. Like 10 PM. You've had a steadily growing migraine since lunch, and now is when you finally decide to take advil, but it's too late to avoid the worst of it altogether. It already hurts too bad. So bad that you begin to wonder if the advil will even work. It will. Somewhere in the back of your mind, you know it will.
You know that doubting the scientifically proven medication you have just put into your body is ridiculous. But it's normal. It's healthy to have that scepticism. It's an instinct that keeps you safe, but here's the real kicker: it won't stop the advil from working. Your migraine will go away because you've already taken the steps you needed. You'll wake up okay, I promise.
It's okay to doubt shifting. It's okay to doubt your journey. It's okay to doubt yourself. Everyone does at some point, no matter how briefly. It's normal. It is NOT detrimental. Not to you. Not to shifting.
You will shift with doubts. You will. It's not a question, it's a fact. You know you've taken the steps. You care enough to want to be there and if you didn't really believe, you would have given up already. Trust the process. Trust the advil. I love you.

I just have to say, it makes me so happy to see the absolute onslaught of shifters who found shiftblr because of the tiktok ban (however temporary) and just feel so much more at peace being here rather than shifttok.
I've seen so many posts about it here and on tiktok too, and I love seeing that people are finding this community and just loving it so fucking much.
Welcome y'all. Love you so much. Happy shifting.
XO
I miss the way shifting used to feel.
I discovered shifting in 2019-2020 when it first started blowing up on tiktok. It was full of misinformation, and restrictive beliefs and complete and total chaos, yeah, but I've been scrolling through the older posts in my shifting folder on tiktok, and the nostalgia I'm feeling is insane.
I was massively affected by misinformation and limiting beliefs through shifttok, which is probably the reason that so some degree, I still struggle with shifting -- especially with motivation and doubts.
But I miss having a shifting routine. Not because I need one to shift, but because it motivated me. It made me feel so excited, so prepared to start on this journey. It also had a massive effect on my mental health when I was at probably the lowest point in my entire life. The joy I gained from my shifting routines alone is probably the reason I'm still here, to be honest.
So for my own sake, I'm bringing back my routines. I'm bringing back my favourite nostalgic bits from the beginning of my shifting journey without any of the limitations or toxicity. I'm remaking my journey, and I'm bringing you guys along, if you want to come with me, if any of you are looking to get back that spark.
XO
