I’ve compiled a list of questions off the dome I’m curious abt, feel free to pick and choose which you answer—or don’t answer any at all! I am just so curious about the world there and ur experiences in it and u mentioned being tired of talking abt others so I figured I’d pick ur brain.
1.) What kind of hero do u want to be!!! Idrk know much abt the different types tbh. But ik Aizawa is like…a night hero(? Idk if that’s right) and then there’s heroes that are more public like all might, endeavor, etc. so what do you want to be (if u even have a preference)?
2.) Do you prefer rescue work or the actual capture of villains? I feel like both are equally rewarding, and equally stressful 😓
3.) How do make such important decisions on such short notice (like in rescue and such)? Is it just natural reflex or did you find you had to work on it like a skill? I feel like everyone loves to think they’d react all calm and cool under pressure but in practice it’s usually a crash-and-burn kind of thing.
4.) Is being a hero ever intimidating to you? I feel like it’s a lot of pressure. I’m curious to how you cope with such stressful work
5.) what’s a pro and a con of your quirk (or I guess in other words, a favourite and least favourite thing—if you don’t really consider anything a pro/con)
6.) is it ever weird to think that like…you’re just kind of set loose after UA? Like you can just..be a hero after three (albeit very gruelling) years of training?
7.) how do you like living in dorms? Do you ever wish you could change anything abt your living set up?
Btw I read up on ur quirk and it’s rad asf. I wish you were a cannon character in this reality purely so I could see how sick it’d look animated #goated
1. i’m not a by-the-rules kind of person. i want to be the kind of hero who does what i believe is right, regardless of what anyone else has to say about it. i don’t care about pleasing the media or making myself palatable to the public. i think too many people go into heroism with this simplistic idea of good guy versus bad guy. i don’t know what’s right all the time. i’m not some paragon of virtue or morality. but i do believe in reaching out to the people who, because of their circumstances or shit luck, never would’ve dared to believe a hero would look their way. i know from personal experience that it starts with feeling lost, eventually you spiral, and the more people fail to see you, the angrier and more resentful you become. i hope this properly answers your question lol.
2. i prefer being on the front lines. i enjoy rescue work too, but when it comes to dealing with situations where there’s an outbreak and a bunch of panicked civilians, lord, do you need patience 💀 i’ve had civilians straight up disregard what i tell them, only for me to have to go back and save them when the whole situation could’ve been prevented if they’d just listened. that’s why i especially admire people like ochako. sometimes, though, you end up doing both.
3. understanding your priorities and making quick decisions is all part of hero training too. it’s like a muscle in that the more you practice, the stronger it gets. it’s important not to be too hard on yourself when things go awry either. you’ll fuck up a lot in mock training exercises, or even work studies, to prevent those kinds of slips in the future. i personally pride myself on my quick thinking!
4. i have an issue with my refusal to cope actually. i’m working on that.
5. i really like my quirk and everything it allows me to do. i don’t like it when my emotions interfere with it though, intense stress alone can cause blockages in things like web production. also nobody wants a blackout just bc you can’t keep yourself in check.
6. i don’t like thinking too far into the future. it’s overwhelming. alas, it’s going to come whether i’m ready for it or not, and very soon at that. for now, i try to take things one step at a time and not get too caught up in what’s waiting for me down the road. katsuki tells me i should put more thought into it.
7. the dorms are nice. i like how accessible we all are to each other, and since it’s only for a short time, there’s really nothing i would change about it. i know i’m going to miss it once it’s gone. i keep my door unlocked most of the time and ppl can come and go as they please.
anyway i hope you enjoyed your little tour of my mind palace!
