I will first like to start off with an enormous apology. Almost two years ago next month, we opened this rpg with high hopes and dedication to create an amazing period rpg. However, life got in the way, and unforeseen obstacles halted our work…until now. We would like to officially announce that we will be reopening Valor RPG and we three admins are currently working diligently to update graphics, pages, and finish bios.
We will begin releasing our completed bios beginning on Friday, August 25th. And we will also be opening up application submissions that day as well. We will close the submit box TBA after we finish releasing the bios we have completed.
With this being said, we are also on the hunt for one last admin to help take care of general maintenance, and who may be interested in graphics, bios, or both. This admins job will really involve a lot of the promo blog as we want to get the word out there. We at Valor RPG are very detail oriented and strive to maintain a new, fresh appearance for our members and potential new members. If you are interested in joining our team, please apply HERE!

Thing your most excited for in V.A.L.O.R: Getting to know everyone, interacting, bringing all of the characters to life, events, and missions!

Any other fun facts you want us to know: I am the founder of VALOR RPG and have been itching to get this rpg back up again. I am really excited to finally reopen and really want to create a welcoming and diverse group for anyone to be able to join and have fun getting to know one another and building up characters. I also love coffee, lazy days, staying in my pajamas, sewing, good food, fall/autumn (yay it’s here!), writing, and making friends!
Hello Sammy! We’re a new spy roleplay set in 1960s New York and we were wondering if we could get an opinion? Thank you so much!
Hello! My opinion will be under the readmore, remember these are just my thoughts. Please don’t take anything I say personally.
Alright, first of all your icon is awesome and the url is awesome because of valor meaning courage, and as I can see from the icon it’s also an acronym for something. I’d definitely say those are interesting enough to make someone click your url. Onto the page itself, the header is pretty cool. It matches the icon and it’s just nice to look at. The quote on your sidebar is awesome, as is the line immediately after. I love the song of the day idea, it’d be cool to make a playlist of past songs to be posted for inspiration every once in a while as well. All your graphics are cool and spy-esque. The plot looks and sounds great, the nav page overall is beautiful. The rp trailer was really good, if this was the type of rp I was interested in that alone would make me join. The missions are an awesome idea, and the one that’s there sounds super professional. I’m glad you don’t allow one liners, encouraging longer conversations is always a great idea. And not allowing social media posts is great for the obvious reasons. I would recommend updating your faq where it says you’ll be accepting on September 2nd to whenever you will be whether that be set days or instantly. I’m currently obsessed with having inspiration pages for roleplays, so I love that you have one. I dispise the “What are you doing?” and “Why are you here?” type of starters (in a group rp at least, in indie rping I don’t mind them as much) so I’m glad you have a rule regarding them. Same goes for not making the person replying come up with the context of the conversation, I know I often struggle to reply to starters like that, and as someone that replies to every starter posted in the roleplays I’m in that’s saying a lot. I like the idea of having a newspaper blog rather than a gossip blog, for your rp I think it’s very fitting and I’ve done a newspaper blog in the past as well. For what I’ve seen scrolling through /tagged/faq you guys seem really sweet and helpful, which is great. I love the color coordination between the groups, it just allows them to be differentiated that much easier, I also see a good amount of POC fc’s on your masterlist, which is amazing. I think I’ve looked through everything and I don’t see anything worrisome or anything I would change. So overall, I’d say your rp looks great and totally worth joining (I would join if it were my sort of thing, seriously). Good luck!
Hello Lexie! We’re a new spy roleplay set in 1960s New York and we were wondering if we could get an opinion? Thank you so much!
i understand i’m going this a year late, and i’m super sorry !! i just was reminded of this when going through my inbox. hope i’m not too late to be helpful !!
your opinion is under the cut
okay, let’s start with your icon/url.
basically i think it’s great !! you can actually see what it says for once (so many people have text on their icons and you cant read it and it drives me crazy) anyways the orange pops out in comparison to the dash and it gives you a vibe of what your rpg is all about. and your url is great as well. you managed to get one thats relevant to the title (really relevant) and just great, so good job there! it’s straight to the point and there’s no dashes or anything like that.
now, let’s go on to your theme
it’s nice, it’s sleek, all good things. however, for idiots like me, it takes a while to find your links. i now see the button in the top corner that shows you everything you need to see, but still, i searched for a while. other than struggling to find your links, everything else looks pretty good!
and finally, your plot.
i think it’s cool and different and interesting. i don’t see any problem there, except maybe some more details. that’s up to you though. anyways, all in all, i’d give the rpg as a whole a 7/10.
