maybe    there’s    a    certain    amount    of    selfishness    in    wanting    to    be    close    to    stefan    somehow,    but    she    does    feel    a    little    less    nervous    knowing    she    won’t    be    spending    this    night    alone.    she’s    watching    the    sun    begin    to    set    from    her    kitchen    window,    a    glass    of    whiskey    in    hand    to    calm    the    nerves    when    a    knock    on    the    door    pulls    her    out    of    her    own    thoughts    and    katherine    hurries    over    to    the    front    door.

“    hey,    handsome.   “     she   purrs,    the    corners    of    her    lips    curving    upwards    as    gaze    find    stefan    and    she    steps    aside    to    let    him    in.      “    thanks    for    doing    this.    i    owe    you.   “      she’s    quick    to    close    the    door    behind    him,    locking    it    and    turning    around    to    face    him    again.     “    want    one?    it’s    good    for    the    nerves,   “    she    chuckles,    showing    him    her    glass    before    bringing    it    to    her    lips.

                       If Faith's scared, she doesn't look it. Looks kinda bored, actually. Tired, ready for a friggin' nap. Scythe strapped to her back, blade half-haloing her hair --- probably kinda dangerous to wear it like that, but she's never been one to think these things through. She's resting against a door frame, arms folded across her stomach. Calmer than she ought to be and watching her old friend react for her, "Yeah, yeah. Slayerfest '21 --- this one's gotta be the big one, right? You got any idea how many of these things I've had to fight my way out of? Always the same. Dumbest vampires, dumbest plans. For real, Stef. Unless they suddenly got themselves a Hulk, I'm not worried."

       a  sigh  of  relief  escapes  pink  glossed  lips ,  light  green  eyes  scanning  the  beautiful  view  that’s  surrounding  her ,  and  a  warm  smile  follows  through .  it  feels  almost..  strange ,  to  be  this  happy .  she  lives  in  the  perfect  house ,  and  married  the  perfect  man .  her  best  friend  came  back ,  and  she’s  on  good  terms  with  alaric  and  their  two  beautiful  kids .  they  fought  against  the  impossible ,  time  after  time ,  there  used  to  be  a  lot  of  pain ,  lot  of  darkness  ----  but  they  survived ,  and  finally  got  what  they  truly  deserved  :  a  happy  ending .   she  gets  inside ,  desperately  graving  for  his  attention .    ❛   i’m  home !   ❜    her  voice  echoes  around  the  house .  a  curiosity  had  woken  up  inside  of  her ,  big  innocent  eyes  searching  for  him .  it’s  just  then  when  she  arrives  in  a  room  upstairs .  it's  always  empty ,  cold ,  and  it  gives  her  the  chills  every  time  when  she  enters  it .  she  truly  believe  it’s  cursed ,  at  least ,  that’s  what  bonnie  told  her  years  ago .  they  were  just  kids  back  then ,  but  after  everything  that  has  happened  it  wouldn’t  surprise  her .  she’s  so  caught  up  with  her  own  thoughts ,  only  realizing  after  just  a  moment  that  it’s  his  back  that’s  facing  her .  he  seems  ...  tense ,  out  of  this  world ,  almost .  a  soft ,  doubtful  smile  takes  over ,  closing  the  distance  carefully .    ❛   there  you  are !   ❜    without  any  second  thoughts  she  approaches  him ,  two  slender  arms  wrapped  around  his  waist ,  head  resting  against  his  back .    ❛   can’t  we  get  out  of  here?  you  know  how  much  i  despise  this  room .   ❜    nervous  chuckle  rolls  down  her  tongue ,  still  holding  on  to  him , having  absolutely  no  clue  that  it’s  the  ripper  she’s  trying  to  connect  with .

                              ❛ i get it , you want to be the grim reaper . go                     have fun . ❜   she avoids his gaze , expert irises straying to anything but his green hues .   ❛ i’ll be cleaning up your mess when you decide you’re done . ❜
