HAIR STYLE  /  COLOR  :  Blonde and her style really depends on her mood! It’s usually down, sometimes she has bangs, sometimes she doesn’t, sometimes she ties it up.

HEIGHT  :  5′4″

CLOTHING STYLE  : Fashionable, to the point where she sometimes has to slay vampires in cute skirts. Usually wearing a jacket or coat of some kind. She loves her boots, especially the knee high ones. As she matures, she switches up the floral, pastel prints for turtle necks, tank tops, and black leather coats.

BEST PHYSICAL FEATURE  : Buffy says her hair.

A silence washes over them — Buffy's got the axe strapped to her back. To an outsider, it looks like a stare down, Slayer to vamp, The Slayer with the Klaus Mikaelson. One girl in all the world versus The Wolf King, The Great Evil, surely a fight that would cause destruction in its wake... Except she's not fighting, or making a move to. Buffy just stands there, hands on her hips, eyebrows pinched together...

She waits — and waits — and waits for any further explanation (what is it with Vampires of all kinds insisting on being annoyingly mysterious?) Then, finally, she outstretches her arms in comical frustration. ❛ No! Are you going to tell me or are we going to stand here waiting until I magically guess or until we both grow roots? Out with it!❜

Hayley shrugged, having done the whole thing without thinking. Maybe a Slayer could take a beating and walk away, but she wasn’t willing to risk the sort of damage an explosive could do on that theory alone. Vamps were getting crafty with killing one another and the last thing Hayley needed was for Buffy to get caught in the crossfire while doing her damn job. Perks of immortality. She made a mental note of maybe offering some of her blood up if Buffy didn’t find the suggestion entirely repulsive–maybe it would help with that tinnitus of hers. That theory she’d happily put to the test.

Yet all thoughts vacated her mind as the heavy, metallic scent of blood filled the air, enticing blackened veins to crawl beneath her eyes as the hunger took its hold on her in a vice grip. Her eyes blazed once again as she stared, half voraciously, half riddled with confusion at the offer. She wanted to ask so many questions, but speech had become increasingly difficult all of a sudden, as though her vocal chords shriveled following a low growl from her wolf. Had she not been so injured and deprived of blood, she would have been possibly more gentle in her approach, but the coppery smell had Hayley lunging for Buffy’s outstretched hand. The rational side of her brain was drowned out by the hunger–by both predatory sides of her warring for control. There was something inherently different about the Slayer’s blood, something she couldn’t immediately identify, yet as the crimson flow flooded her system, she felt reinvigorated rather quickly. 

Gingerly did she back up, still clutching the Slayer’s hand as she reached for a nearby cloth that was unused. Placing it over as gently as she could, her bedside manner improving considerably after having her fill, she sighed deeply. A small trickle went down the side of her lip and was immediately caught with her tongue. “Sorry, but you did all that with no preamble; gets a girl hungry, you know?” No, she probably didn’t, but she knew Buffy would understand. Sort of. “You go around giving hand-outs to every injured vamp?” She teased just before bringing her own wrist to her mouth as unceremoniously as Buffy had with her knife and bit down, puncturing the skin with her fangs before offering up the wrist to Buffy. “I don’t know if you know this about us, but our blood…heals and considering you just did me a solid, this is the least I can do–it might even help with the tinnitus, but jury’s out on that theory. Plus…if I keep smelling your blood, I’m gonna end up jonesing like a freaking shark. So yeah, bottom’s up? Or something.”

Though it’s not particularly painful to extremes, she still feels the stinging of the cut as Hayley drinks from her open palm. Buffy breathes in sharply, holding the air in her lungs as she watches her satiate her hunger with her blood. Slayer blood is different, she knows that, something powerful and mystical flowing through it, and she knows vampires can taste it, feel it. It’s different than drinking from a run-of-the-mill civilian, but it’s the ultimate sign of Buffy’s trust to allow Hayley to drink enough to be sated, but not enough to completely drain her body of it. She knows she won’t. 

When it’s over, and the sharp sting in her palm turns into a dull ache, Buffy finds herself just looking, gulping for seemingly no reason at all other than the messy trickle of blood on the side of Hayley’s mouth. Oh boy.  ❛ No, not really —❜ She says, taken aback by the offer of drinking Hayley’s blood in return. Okay, well, out of all things to expect, she wasn’t expecting that. Buffy’s hesitant, naturally. There are a lot of potential consequences of having a vampire’s blood in her system, but there’s also an unavoidable ick factor. Not to trump all over Hayley’s yum, or anything, but blood drinking is not exactly part of her agenda. ❛ You want me to —❜ Buffy blinks, looking at Hayley’s bleeding wrist, and thinking that maybe it’s rude to turn it down. ❛ Okay...❜ 

As soon as Buffy reciprocated, the Hybrid rumbled a low growl against her lips, hungry and eager as her wolf clawed away beneath her skin. She almost forgot air’s a bit of a necessity to a Slayer, strong as she was, and she allowed that necessary concession, but as soon as they resumed, that greedy, voracious appetite returned. She deserved to be happy, having been alone and enduring so much for so long that she almost had forgotten what an intimate touch felt like.  Each and every from Buffy burned her until it felt as though she was a living conflagration of their feelings, every last one pouring into each subsequent kiss. 

“Kinda glad that went the way it did…” Hayley confessed after granting Buffy another moment to catch her breath. “I’d apologize for being forward, but I’d be lying to you then and that’s just something I can’t bring myself to do. Besides, I’ve wanted to do that for…quite some time now, so…” And another followed. Then another. Oh, there goes her hand…

Buffy’s got a list of ex-lovers, every single one of them more tragic than the last. Every one of them important, in one way or another, to her personal journey and her journey as a The Slayer. But a kiss had never made her feel this alive and like she would combust at another brush of Hayley’s lips quite like this one. After a tragedy riddled past, Buffy had been hesitant about maybe getting involved with someone she could lose again, but she can’t deny that her connection to Hayley had been one of those inevitable things, an instant click, like her world had shifted and slowly fallen into place, because this, letting Hayley kiss her and kiss her, and touch her against the wall of this dilapidated place, feels right. 

Like Buffy can breathe again.
