Tbh if Jaune had just kept his mouth shut around Cinder and cut it with the self-sacrificial bullcrap, Weiss wouldn’t have been impaled with that damn spear.

While it isn’t entirely his fault that Weiss got injured, (Cinder is to blame too, of course, she was the one who threw the thing) he was an underlying cause in that whole situation.

By saying that he was less important than the others, Jaune basically told Cinder that his death would do nothing and that she had much more to gain by killing off anyone else. This of course, prompted Cinder to focus on someone different.

By going on some spiel on how he was less important, Jaune had indirectly painted a target on his teammates’ backs (literally with Weiss lol)

So yeah, Weiss getting hurt was lowkey Jaune’s fault and he’d better unlock his semblance soon or do something useful because I’m slowly losing my patience with him.
