Quick sketch of Michael that I was randomly inspired to do on my whiteboard
I started this little portrait a few days ago & ofc after listening to 162 today I had to finish it. The words in green (inspired by the fact that Gerry’s writing on his eye painting is described as “green calligraphy”) are the words from the painting:
“Grant us the sight that we may not know; grant us the scent that we may not catch; grant us the sound that we may not call.”
And the Eye is there bc ofc it is. The Eye loved Gerry, as much as a fear entity is capable of love - it gifted him with insights that, to our knowledge, even the Archivist doesn’t have. And he wasn’t even a full-blown avatar. My hc is that it just looked at that painting and decided to adopt Gerry bc even a literal manifestation of fear can offer more support (or at least acceptance/protection) than Mary Keay.😓
