Inael doesn’t know how many hours out of the day he spends wondering about Jiji, about their past lives, who they are now, and who they’d be in the future. His entire being is all consumed with finding and being with this person, and he’s afraid (so afraid) of forgetting who he really loves.

His heart connects with a soul in many different forms, a soul whose true self will soon be lost if Inael can’t manage to hold onto the truth. It’s bound to happen eventually, and he can’t bear the thought of it–

So when 2 am strikes again and Inael finds himself outside of the other’s door in the freezing, drafty hallway with a heart on fire and a soul in flames, he immediately surges for the other upon the opening of the door, heaving unnecessary gulps of air into his dormant lungs and saltwater streaks threatening to paint his cheeks with soft strokes. 

The younger male is clearly starstruck and bewildered, but Inael can’t bring himself to explain, can’t bring himself to do anything other than slowly draw back and look desperately between his lover’s eyes.

It’s been approximately two days since Inael had stayed over Yun’s rather posh apartment, and the vampire has been nothing short of, simply putting it, weirdly adorable. The same internal struggle played out of his face every time Inael mentioned showering or even sleeping with less clothes on, seeing as the guest bedroom was rather warm. So on this particular morning, Inael decides to do something out of the ordinary. 

After Yun disappears to take a shower, Inael tiptoes over to the door, waiting patiently for the vampire to shower and complete his morning routine, whatever that may be. (He’s fairly sure he hears some incoherent mumbling as well, and it only serves to elicit a small chuckle from the angel while he waits.) Moments after the shower turns off and Yun emerges from the bathroom, Inael spies his target and immediately leans in to press a chaste peck to the other’s lips, one in which the vampire hadn’t been expecting.
