The journey of 100 miles begins with…three. Well, at least in this case. 👟 The @goruck challenge for October 2020 is supporting the United War Veterans Council, by pledging money and rucking 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles by Veterans' Day. And I'm going for the big hairy audacious goal and going for 100. 🎒 Why? Well, for one, like pretty much everyone else, COVID-19 and the associated pandemic restrictions have me a bit down in the dumps. I'm tired of working from home. I'm tired of being in the same place all day, every day. I've been cooped up all summer and I haven't been taking particularly good care of myself. In fact, if it weren't for my martial arts class for 3.5 hours a week, I'd probably have lost my mind by now. I've been short with people, I've been escaping with iPhone games, and frankly I'm tired of it. I need to get out more. I need to be active. And what better way to do it than taking on a challenge like this? 👍🏻 So, it's begun. 3.02 miles today. 96.98 to go. And it's gonna get done. If you live in #clintonville and want an early-morning ruck partner, let me know. I leave around 6:00 am. and I'll wear a mask if necessary. 🇺🇸 #rucking #goruck #uwvc #columbusruckingclub #goals #rucker #embracethesuck #goodliving #andnowcoffee #healthylifestyle (at Clintonville, Columbus, Ohio) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFzIljeAQ4j/?igshid=ngbo4e5jb12n
