Last year I wanted them to discuss Kimmy’s PTSD and the deeper psychological aspects of that storyline, but I was shaking like a poodle too hard for public speaking. Someone asked right away this year. They do try to be thoughtful and do research while striking a balance of silliness and hope they get it right. Same with all the more sensitive issues in the show; they believe comedy is an okay way to discuss them.

With a boost from pride week, I asked about Jacqueline seeming to swing more than one way, and if it’s something they will explore further. Hopefully I did not sound as spazzy as my anxiety felt. Do I remember the answer? I wish. Jane said she thought Jacqueline made out with everyone this year. Robert seemed open to it, I think. But I do remember that Jack McBrayer was sweet and said it was a good question and, “It is 2015.” Best moderator ever!

When asked how Ellie stays so upbeat and energetic, she said crack. And not to post this on social media. Also Tituss’s favorite song is Boobs in California and he hated swimming. Carol Kane doesn’t always understand the dialogue that she is saying, and she spoke very highly of Fred Armisen. Jane looked like she started crying when talking about the scene where Kimmy met her mom. And they do want Jack McBrayer and Alec Baldwin in the show but since they only cast straight white guys for villains they have to think of something juicy.
