Why These Nintendo Switch Games Are Dominating Amazon's Best Sellers List?
Nintendo seems to have managed to get out of the woods following five years of abysmal and somehow embarrassing failure of the Wii U. In January of this year Nintendo ceased the production of Wii U leaving the world anticipate their next move. However, it looks as if Nintendo has learned their lessons following their mistakes with the Wii U. They managed to sell more Nintendo Switch Games in a year that all the 5 years of Wii U put together and continues to remain Amazon’s Bestseller.
Users will tell you that the key to their success is flexibility and adaptation. With features including
· Switch and play: Anytime, anywhere, with anyone
· Three play modes: TV mode, table top mode and handheld mode
· Share the fun with Joy-Con - attach the two Joy-Con to the Joy-Con grip, it will work like a traditional controller and without the grip they work as two individual, fully-functioning controllers
Local and online multiplayer: Link up to eight consoles for multiplayer; online play with friends far away and players around the world plus many more, it would not come as a surprise that they are ahead of their competitors, at least for now

Another company adopting passwordless login. Medium added this functionality in 2015. It’s still there now but less prominent as they push social login / registration for the obvious extra user data this provides. On uSwitch’s post on passwordless accounts they cite security as their core reason for the change. For me the ease of use and back end efficiency is the bigger win for that that avoid signing in with social networks.
I would love to see the percentage of people that forget then reset their passwords on uSwitch. As a site that’s used fairly infrequently I’m guessing this is high.
Having a user ‘enter their email, open an email, then click to log in’ is a lot more efficient and less frustrating than the usual pattern of ‘click forgot password, enter their email, open an email, click on link to go to reset page, enter a new password, confirm password, then log in with the password’.
I wonder which company (if any) will adopt this next...
