Hm… well I certainly hope what you’re on the edge of is one of the latter two options and not the former, but that isn’t helpful. Generally when I feel like I’m at a tipping point I don’t want to be at, I try and distract myself. Usually with something mind-consuming, like a crossword. I don’t know if you’ll find that useful, but suggestion I guess? The other thing I do is escapism, but I don’t think that’s a healthy thing to suggest.
