Defend the Forest Service from the Trump Administration’s Attacks

Trump is "restructuring" the United States Forest Service. This is framed as a good move forward. It isn't. It is exactly the same move that damaged the Bureau of Land Management, with potentially much worse consequences.

All previous office locations are being closed, and labs with years of research and conservation work are being shut down. The goal is most likely to allow land to be sold to private investors, leading to the eventual destruction of what lands and forests we have left.

Worst of all, this announcement comes right as an already brutal fire season is kicking off.

I know we're all really fucking sick of life ruining decisions, even world ruining decisions, being made by this administration. I'm sorry to bring your attention to yet another god awful thing happening. The world we live on is really important to me, and our continued existence relies on taking care of it.
