I have had a reason to go through Seattle this afternoon and the air quality is abysmal.
The smog is so thick, I cannot see the Olympic Mountains. They're just a vague shadow in the west
What's even worse, of the 25 or so people on this bus, I am the only one who masked up.
This air is so thick and foul, visibility so limited and the smell is atrocious, and no one thinks about protecting their own health?
Why y'all carrying on like y'all have non-US Healthcare??
So many massive wild fires all around the world right now...North America,Europe,Asia, Africa,Australia... Mother Earth is burning. It's scary.

Oregon Fire Disaster Escalates | Bench & Beachcomb Merge Into 40,000+ Acre Inferno.
Oregon Fire Crisis Escalates | July 27, 2026 Update The Bench and Beachcomb fires near Warm Springs have merged into a single perimeter β now mapped at 40,296 acres and 0% contained as of Sunday night. Oregon leads the nation with 21 active large fires, nearly 400,000 acres burned statewide, and no containment relief in sight for the next 48 hours.
Severe Weather USA
My town is back in a red flag and the town 30ish mins NW is waiting for evacuation. A few hours ago the last bit of that area was put in a lvl 1 (ready/pre-prepare). Everyone over there has to be evacuated west cuz the fire has hit the highway that would take them down to us. Which suck cuz going east to us is the shelter for large animals (there's a lotta farms/ranches here with cows, horses, and alpaca)
Still lightning, still windy, still minimal rain. The fire over there has actually created its own weather (pyrocumulus) which is giving them MORE lightning. They've had to pull back firefighters multiple times for their own safety
My town is actually surrounded by fires atm but the ones south of us are small so we could always go that way towards the lakes. If another fire starts north of us it would be between to 2 big ones, and with the wind they could very much combine and very easily wipe out all of central oregon
Oh boy how I love summer in the high desert
