Hey. I'm going to get my ears scalpelled and am wondering about the aftercare. Winter might be very harsh on them, and I don't want any infections. Are there any steps or tricks to keep them safe? Also, can I get my helix pierced with a CBR?
Hi there! We don’t offer any heavier modification services in our studio, so you would definitely want to get thorough aftercare information from your (hopefully knowledgeable) practitioner. The informational brochures provided by the Association of Professional Piercers are also very helpful. If you live somewhere with fairly extreme weather conditions in the winter it may not be a bad idea to wait until the weather is going to be less of an issue.
You can definitely get your helix pierced with a ring style, though it is good to remember that the ring may get more movement or be more prone to snagging on hairbrushes than a stud style.

I'm still tweaking the recipes for cupcakes and hope to make something awesome for Christmas. I was thinking blood orange frosting on top of vanilla/lemon cupcakes and chocolate with some Guinness and espresso in the batter and the same ganache on top.
