#useless ramble

blah blah blah, just a normal pa- ... Wait a moment. What does that say?

We were on a tangent about Crowley pre-vaguely downward saunter era and ended up talking about clothing. Before the universe is created, we see Aziraphale and Crowley in robes. It's pretty fair to assume that the other angels, too, wear robes since there's no huge distinguishment in dress during modern Heaven.

In modern Heaven, the Archangels and other angels wear more modern day outfits, including suits and whatnot. Essentially, everyone's dress is up to date with fashion on Earth.

Here's where the dilemma comes in: who was the first fashionista?

Clothes changing with the centuries could indicate that humans are making these advancements on their own and Heaven nabs them for themselves. This would make sense since Crowley and Aziraphale do the same thing (it's a little different since they both permanently live on Earth, but we've seen Gabriel and the other Archangels visit Earth so it would be just as important).

However, this begs the question of why would people as powerful as Heaven, who were creative enough to design the whole damn universe and everything within it, not create this clothing themselves? It's obvious that they can, considering they created robes for the angels to wear before clothes were even a thing. It's also very possible that Heaven invented clothing over the eras and brought it down to Earth/divinely inspired its creation.

Whether the second scenario is true or not, I can't help but imagine Crowley coming to Earth and inspiring the creation of v-necks and platform heels.
