🧪 How to Give a Urine Sample for Culture Test

Correct sample collection is important for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

👉 1️⃣ Use a Sterile Container Always collect urine in the sterile container provided by the lab or clinic.

👉 2️⃣ Clean the Area Properly Wash hands and clean the genital area with water before collecting the sample.

👉 3️⃣ Collect Midstream Urine Start urinating first, then collect the middle portion of urine in the container. Do not collect the first or last urine.

👉 4️⃣ Avoid Touching the Inside Do not touch the inside of the container or lid to prevent contamination.

👉 5️⃣ Close the Container Tightly Seal the lid properly after collecting the sample.

👉 6️⃣ Submit Immediately Submit the sample to the lab within 1 hour for accurate results.
