it’s the first time she’s managed to steal some time for herself — away from the terse conversations, the faces that for the present moment, brings her a level of distaste she knows she ought to feel guilty for. she doesn’t hear him step in, which is a tell in itself. her spine makes a slight convex, weight leant on her fists poring over something obstructed by the fark curtain of hair. her shoulder caps are so visible with the stretch and tension she seems almost emaciated from his angle. like a panther, lean and lithe from needing to stay quiet, from needing to survive.       //.  @uriahzulu​
