Corrin slings his arm around his wife, nuzzling against her shoulder. The light from the night sky comes in through the window in the roof of the tree house. âYouâre prettier thân thâ moonâŚâ
Azura giggles softly and strokes his hair. âYou need your rest, sweetie. Youâre sick.â And a little loopy on the herbal medication, apparently.
âMm, but Iâm âwake,â he mutters. âI wanna hug you.â
She turns a little and kisses his forehead. âYou are hugging me, dear.â
âHug me back.â
She rolls her eyes. âI only promised to stay until you fell asleep.â
âIâm nâ asleep now, am I?â
Azura curls against him and strokes his back. âAll right, Corrin. Letâs get some restâŚâ
He smiles, his eyes closed. âM-kayâŚâ
The next day when Azura wakes up, she sneezes.

âChrom, where are we going?â Robin says, looking at the map in her hands. Sheâs been trying to save her phone battery by using good old-fashioned paper, and sheâs darn good at it. But Chrom, on the other hand, isnât going along with her directions. Which he should be good atâŚ
âYouâll see.â He casts a glance at her and smiles, then turns back to the tree-lined dirt road as he drives.Â
She rolls her eyes. âSo long as you donât drive us off a cliff.â
He laughs. âNo, nothing like that.â
âYou know I can tell where we are on the map, right? You know Iâm really, really good at maps, right? I can see weâre heading to the lake.â
âHey, could you let me at least try to keep the surprise?â
âNo,â she giggles. âNot at all.â
âJeezâŚâ He lets out an exasperated laugh. He pulls over and parks the car. âYou know, donât you?â
âYou packed our clothes for a week, Chrom. Iâm not stupid. Though I am surprised you could get me out of work for that long.â
âI pulled some strings.â He leans over and kisses her lips. âDo you know how hard it is to be your husband sometimes? I can never surprise you.â
She grins as she kisses him back. âMm, itâs not the surprising that matters; you know that.â Her eyes spark. âThough I do love when youâre spontaneous.âÂ
He smiles back. âYou know, thereâs room in the backseat if you want to get comfortable.â
