corrin and azura are blood cousins T-T
I know, and it’s super lame. 😒
When ppl first play Birthright and/or Conquest, it gives them the impression that Corrin and Azura grew very close over the course of each storyline, how much they trust one another and how Azura disappearing at the end of both paths weighed real hard on Corrin.
I don’t blame fans for thinking they’re the most canon couple of the game (if you like Male Corrin that is) and then all of a sudden there’s a throwaway line in Revelations mentioning their mothers being sisters…
Look, I get that it’s legal to marry your cousins in Japan - where this game was made - but did we really need this conclusion? It just makes some of the fans over in the west uncomfortable.
(To be fair, I kinda still included this fact in my own Fates rewrite but only because I can’t think of a better way to get around it)
