this is great and I know it's not the point but like 99% of painters build their own panels and canvases after year 1!!
that’s really weird to me because (at least students) at my school like, most people...don’t??? (cough rich kids cough) like, i build my own and cut the pieces and assemble and all that, but most people at my school just Don’t??? i mean, like i know most people stretch their own canvas but like, they dont. cut their own stretchers? or build panels? like i know in hs, we’d like get precuts and hammer em and all that which i guess people do??? idkÂ
but it’s also because our shop does it for like, ridic hella cheap (but more than i can afford lol), so i only have experience and knowledge with my own program (which admittedly, is super small by way of painters and more on design and architecture) but that’s good to note!Â
