I don’t get the issue with uptalking other then the fact some people find it annoying and we all know girls are NEVER to be even slightly irritating like god forbid they do something that doesn't please you. im getting mad. in short i am pro-uptalking. 

Where was that post talking about how people think Scott is stupid because of uptalking speech patterns? That was really interesting to me because I am from SoCal and as such my accent includes uptalking, and I have occasionally also had people have negative impressions of my professional capabilities because of it. I believe Tyler Posey is also from SoCal. I wonder what made this speech pattern get interpreted that way in the first place -- was it the movie Valley Girl? Mental image of surfer dudes? Huh. This is far from the only American accent that is negatively stereotyped and the impact of the stereotyping is pretty minimal but I'm just curious where it came from. To me, the rising tone at the end of a sentence is a cue to the listener to nod their head or otherwise acknowledge they are still listening. I'm not sure why that's a bad thing.
