With the city still in half-ruin, it was strange to even be back, standing on top of the wall in the shadow of their former tower.Ā Leaning against the rail, Diegoās eyes shifted from the hazy buildings and instead towards the exo that heād come to stand beside -- Blaise, whoās blue eyes gazed down but seemed distant.
Heād heard about what was happening between Blaise and Dallas, to a point, mostly second-hand. There was a point where he would have been excited beyond believe to hear that it was happening -- that the Wonder Couple was falling apart. But now, he couldnāt find the energy to feel happy about it.
If anything -- he felt bad for Blaise. Even though he was an exo, Diego could see the sadness etched into the warlockās face. Something that he could relate to. Letting out a large huff from his nostrils, he searched for words, ones that werenāt as sharp and spiteful as usual.
āHe really is stubborn when he wants to be, isnāt he?ā The wall -- the city it protectedĀ -- had always been Dallasā priority. But even knowing that, Diego was sure that Blaise was still hurting as his husband chose to be down there instead of with him.
