THE FUCKING LIVING ROOM TV FEELING LIKE HE'S A PART OF THE FAMILY WHEN HE GAINS SENTIENCE IS SO 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💯💯💯💯. the way tenna is uncomfortably familiar with kris..... one-sided familial relationship is a fucking crazy dynamic to have. the way he seems like he's trying to connect with kris about the divorce as a shared experience when it's just so exposing to kris in front of others. and the way he apologizes for stuff as if he, too, aided in the divorce (what the fuck was in the pipes?? my bf said nubert as a joke lol but there's gotta be something there. i first thought he electrocuted kris by accident (considering kris played with the power cable) & toriel and asgore fought about that as a stand-in for bigger problems but tenna took it personally). i love the way that he presents the video game playing as part of the show because it was still treated as being done in front of the audience but it had the comfortability of playing games on the couch with friends/family, so the awareness of the audience starts to fade away & just be, like, tenna's quirk to mention. and the lighthearted narration was more like an older family member guiding a much younger one through a game they've played before (which is what i read as tenna instinctively playing the role of asriel)

& kris' frustrations with how intrusive the soul is feels like it says everything that needs to be said with how they must feel about tenna. he absolutely wedged himself into kris' family, which is what the player is doing to kris' relationships when you get to limit the ways they can react to people. kind of goes back to wondering who, exactly, is creating the options that you get when you talk to anyone in deltarune — personally, i'm thinking that it is kris expressing whatever control they can over the player as part of the tug of war between the soul and kris. & tenna likes kris but doesn't think they like him back! which is how it feels to play deltarune!!! that chocolate syrup bottle was so violent!!!!!!!!!!!!!! + bf and i totally sat and listened to kris playing piano in noelle's house for the whole thing, so going into the soundtrack and listening to the 'concert for you' song was very direct. idk if it's used in the end of ch4 anywhere but they set it up so that you want to listen to them play piano and get to know kris and they do not want that
