File this Under Things I Never Thought I Would Do
Sometimes life throws curve balls. Sometimes the path that appears in front of me is unexpected. There have been quite a few things that I have done over the years that I never thought I would do. Living in Australia has to top the list but honestly – what a great experience that was. A once in a lifetime opportunity to do something out of the ordinary and if you know me, you know I thrive on…

twenty-fucking-five 🍻
Well, yet another year has flown by. So much has happened this past year. But I gotta say I’m proud of the person I’ve become.Â
Honestly I’ve been really stressed the past week as I think I started to have some expectations of my birthday, specifically people I hoped that would wish me at least. As the days inched closer, I knew that I had to curb my expectations, and as expected, it wasn’t as I had hoped. I’m glad that at least I did manage to well, manage my expectations before today. Though i gotta admit that this made me less stable and stressed for the past days or even weeks.Â
BUT, I did pretty good. I wasn’t too upset about today. Maybe it didn’t exactly turned out the way i had hoped for, but I focused on what I had and who I had it with. And also something pretty unexpected happened too. I bumped into my college crush. I had always imagined this day, and especially since my workplace is pretty near where he stays. And well, I guess it did turn out how I would have liked it to, we wouldn’t pretend we didn’t know each other, just a simple hello, even though no conversation was made. It was a kinda nice surprise afterall.Â
The day started pretty good. Mom gave me a hug and made some noodles, while I got ready for my lunch out with my friend. Honestly, I was having second thoughts about it the entire week considering my mood, but I’m glad that I went for it. We talked, we laughed, and I was distracted. Got some lovely wishes from my friends, and some that we haven’t spoken in a bit but they still made the time to drop me a text, which is so damn sweet, I love you my Rusher Fam. Came home and Mom  got some cake too, Dad with the usual and getting dinner, pretty good.Â
Well, I wanted to do a little reflecting on this past year, but... I guess I shall continue this tomorrow.Â

Ripped to Shreds
Hi! Albie here. Ever had high winds rip your sails to pieces?Â
That day, I remember the winds picking up to  incredible speeds and my sails were just not a match to the intense velocity and speed that ensued. You can see from the picture what a mess the winds made of my sails that day.
So probably most of you will not be able to say such a thing (lol)! I’m guessing that’s a good thing but there’s some real important things to learn from this experience. The first is that having a second set of sails and an engine is a really good idea (I’m glad I did!). Also, life is an uncertain place and things you don’t expect to happen CAN happen. I mean, I didn’t go out sailing that day thinking to myself, “hmm, I wonder if my sails are going to get shredded today!” You know what I mean!
