Demiuingender
A gender identity where one has a gender that is partially unknowable, unnameable, undecidable, undefinable, unidentifiable, unquantifiable, unexplainable, undeterminable and/or having part of one’s identity that they are characteristically unsure of while also partially identifying with another gender or genders; an UIN Demigender.Â
Etymology
From Latin, “dimedius“ to “Demi-”, meaning “half” + “Uin”, an English acronym covering all genders that are “undecided/unsure, unknown/unnamed, unidentified/undefined/unfixed or unexplainable/undetermined in nature.” + “-gender”, an English neologistic suffix indicating genderness. Uingender was coined in 2019 by user IMOGA-Pride; it is unknown who coined the term Demigender. Demiuingender lacked a flag, and I was unable to find any mention of the term thus far, so I created a post to acknowledge the term (2021).
Flag
The Demiuinender flag is a combination of the commonly used Demigender flag and the Uingender flag. The flag consists of thirteen horizontal, solid stripes, with the innermost seven stripes being half-sized. From top to bottom, the stripes are dark grey, light grey, white, light green, dusty rose, purple, indigo, green, peach beige, white, light grey and dark grey. Flag by Gent (Gender-Jargon), 2021.
