Evocative Emotions
Evocative Emotions By: Laya
I used to want to be a rock, I used to not want my emotions to change nor be visible But life is a syllable of sand Sand moves easily in the strong wind And so do my emotions, I wouldn’t like feeling nothing If I didn’t have my emotions, I wouldn’t have my poetry I can’t imagine life without my poetic thoughts pondering through the ponds. Where would my magnificent metaphors run along the mountainside to? I want my similes stride to carelessly around the campground and My holistic hyperboles to swim in the sea But unbelievable understatements will always come back to me to even things out, So I’ve learned emotion is good, erotic, energetic, enthusiastic, evocative, etc. Without love, I wouldn't have heartbreak poems Without heartbreak, I wouldn’t have love poems. Without emotions, I wouldn’t have words.
