Depeche Mode's debut album and the only one to feature Vince Clarke before he formed Yaz/Yazoo with Allison Moyet and then Erasure with Andy Bell. I like his work but like DP without him better. I was so excited when I came across this. There was a loud, audible "gasp" and I snatched it up quickly. It is in phenomenal shape. To me it is their third best album (behind Operation:Mindcrime and Empire). It was in NM condition and man they Sonic quality... whew! Catching up on some posts. Some from earlier in the week and some from today. I love Jerry Goldsmith and his scores are second only to John William's, I'd say. His work on the Star Trek franchise is amazing. Real Estate are influenced by Built to Spill, Weezer and Pavement. Their influence is prevalent. We saw both Cowboy Junkies and Secret Sisters in Charlotte at different shows. Cowboy Junkies were our first date. This copy was original and still sealed. We promptly opened that bad boy.Secret Sisters opened for Iron & Wine. We bought their debut album then, met them and got the LP signed. This is their newest. That Genesis album was a great live set even though I wasn't too familiar with most of the tunes. I am more a later Genesis-with-hits fan. Still this was great. Once again, Minnesota-based Crow comes through. It's a bit different than their other stuff but that's part of the charm.
