Astralwerks is one of those labels that pretty much only puts out fire albums and 12's so I was absolutely up for the opportunity to give these a spin and tell you all about them. Undercatt is a duo of two established Italian DJs named Luca and Elia who met back in the day at a club they were both playing. They became fixtures of the Italian nightclub scene and worked with others to establish their own label/brand called Yuma and lit the dance floors on fire in Pisa, Tuscany before deciding to start writing and composing their own work back in 2014. Their inspiration from modern techno is clear, but doesn't sound derivative of anything that is happening right now, if we're being real. If you're old enough to remember the glory days of raving in the 90s, you'll certainly feel right at home on both of these tracks. As always, Astralwerks handled this release with the utmost care and it sounds FANTASTIC spinning at 45rpm on my turntable.
