Theydies and Gentlethems, we are pleased to formally announce the second issue of UNCVLTURED!

Thank you so much for sharing this with me! I hope you don’t mind me publishing it; I want to encourage anyone else who’s on the fence about trying out new things to know it can really pay off. 

When I started dream journaling, I was intrigued by how often I started writing down a mishmash, nonsensical dream and realized halfway through that actually there was an underlying pattern related to a concern in my waking life. My subconscious processing this waking concern didn’t, at first glance, look anything like the real-life problem; it was all wild fantasy elements and surreal dialogue. But the process of writing it out helped me to see beneath the surface and understand what was prompting the dream - often without even intending to do so! I firmly believe that habit of journaling and being open to what my mind was working out in my dreams taught me how to see what’s ‘important’ or otherworldly in my dreams, more than any other single habit or action.
